Guided Access

Guided Access

A default iPad function

Apple’s Guided Access feature allows you to lock your iPad into a single app and control which features are available for each specific app.

When enabled, hardware buttons can be disabled for example, as well as the touchscreen, making it a particularly handy feature for those who occasionally struggle with staying focused and on task as it stops them accessing other apps and settings whilst playing or watching.

Follow Focus

This setting determines if the Zoom lens (magnified area) will follow the text cursor.

Top Tip

Within the Settings, you can also choose to enable/disable the following features whilst using Guided Access; Siri, Lock button, Keyboards and a Countdown Timer that'll reactivate the iPad automatically.
